Description
An enhancement has been made to the way that FastTrack360 obtains and renews login tokens, which allow the system to communicate to the New Zealand IRD gateway services for the purposes of sending Payday Filing submissions.
Previously, if you clicked the IRD Authentication button on the Payroll New Zealand> Maintenance > Pay Company > Pay Company Maintenance > Edit Pay Company > Pay Day Reporting screen, as highlighted in the example below, FastTrack360 automatically refreshed the existing login token so long as the login details, which were last used to log into the myIR portal, are still valid and the authentication status is OK.
Now, with each click of the IRD Authentication button, as highlighted in the example above, the current login token is cleared rather than being refreshed. Therefore, each time the IRD Authentication button is clicked, FastTrack360 triggers a call to the myIR portal and you are prompted for a myIR username and password. On successful login to the myIR portal with a valid username and password, FastTrack360 obtains a new login token using that username and password rather than the username and password that was used the last time a new login token was obtained.
Benefits
This enhancement allows you to change the current username and password that is used to establish a connection to the IRD whenever necessary, even if the current username and password are still valid. This is useful if the login credentials that were last used to successfully obtain a login token need to be changed because, for example, the login credentials are that of a staff member who is leaving your business.
