Description
A change has been made in this release to how the interpreted timesheet status is set for adjustment timesheets when adjustment timesheets are processed by the interpreter.
The status of interpreted adjustment timesheets now always defaults to a status type of Not Reviewed to ensure an adjustment timesheet cannot be defaulted to a status type that would allow the adjustment timesheet to be paid and/or billed before the original timesheet or a previous adjustment timesheet for that same job order and timesheet period.
That means when an adjustment timesheet is interpreted, the system ignores the default interpreted timesheet status that is selected on the corresponding Recruitment Manager > Client record, if defined, and the default interpreted timesheet status that is defined for the country of the timesheet in Interpreter Review > Maintenance > Interpreted Timesheet Status.
A new maintenance option has been added to allow you to configure the default interpreted timesheet status for interpreted timesheets separately to that of original timesheets in the event that multiple interpreted timesheet statuses with a status type of Not Reviewed have been configured in your system. Benefits
This enhancement ensures that an interpreted adjustment timesheet cannot be defaulted to an interpreted timesheet status that would allow the adjustment timesheets to be paid or billed before the original timesheet or a prior adjustment timesheet for the same job order/period combination.
Configuration
A new field labelled Adjustment Timesheet Default field has been added to the Interpreter Review > Maintenance > Interpreted Timesheet Status > Interpreted Timesheet Status Entry screen to allow the default interpreted timesheet status for adjustment timesheets to be set independently to that of original timesheets. The field is available only where the status type is Not Reviewed. An example of this is shown below.
On upgrade, the Interpreted Adjustment Timesheet Default field is automatically ticked for the interpreted timesheets status with a status type of Not Reviewed for each country. If multiple records with a status type of Not Reviewed have already been configured for a given country, the Interpreted Adjustment Timesheet Default field will be automatically ticked on the record with the lowest sort order. If multiple records have the same sort order then the alphabetical status name will be used to determine on which record the Interpreted Adjustment Timesheet Default field will be ticked on by default.
After upgrading, you can change which interpreted timesheet status is to be the default status for adjustment timesheets if needs be. However, note the following:
only those interpreted timesheets statuses that have a status type of Not Reviewed can be flagged as the default status for adjustment timesheets
there must be one, and only one, interpreted timesheet status that is flagged as the default status for adjustment timesheets for each country at any given time.
