Description
A new field labelled Paid Leave Type has been added to the header of the Leave > Maintenance > Leave Type > Leave Type Entry screen to allow a leave type in FastTrack360 to be mapped to a paid leave type that will be used for Single Touch Reporting (STP). An example of this new field is highlighted in the example below.
The Paid Leave Type field is available only if the leave type is assigned to the country of Australia.
Benefits
Under Single Touch Payroll (STP) Phase 2 reporting, the ATO requires leave payments to be reported separately to other gross payments and to be classified according to the type of leave that is paid.
This enhancement allows you to prepare for STP Phase 2 reporting by providing the ability to map leave types that are configured in FastTrack360 to their respective STP reporting paid leave types so that leave payments can be reported accordingly once STP Phase 2 reporting capability is available in FastTrack360.
STP Phase 2 compliant reporting capability will be provided in a future release. This enhancement allows you to pre-configure leave types accordingly in preparation for STP Phase 2 reporting.
Configuration
After upgrading the Paid Leave Type field will default to N/A for all leave types that are already configured in your system and any new leave types that you create post upgrade. You will need to review each leave type to determine the paid leave type to which each leave type corresponds and the select the relevant option in the Paid Leave Type field accordingly.
For more information about each of the paid leave type options that are available and what option should be selected to ensure that leave payments will be reported correctly under STP Phase 2, see Reporting of Paid Leave Under STP Phase 2.
