Description

In the 11.37 release, a new security permission called Client Record Pay/Bill has been added to control the ability of agency staff to view or edit the Pay/Bill section of the Agency Portal > Recruitment Manager > Client screen (shown below) independently of the ability to view and edit other information on a Client record.

The permission has the following permission levels:

  • Full Control – will allow a user view and edit the details in the Pay/Bill section of a Client record.

  • Edit – will allow a user to edit the details in the Pay/Bill section of an existing Client record.

  • View – will allow a user to view the Pay/Bill section of a Client record.

If an agency user is not granted any of the three above-mentioned permission levels for the Client Record Pay/Bill permission, the Pay/Bill section of Client records is not visible to the user at all.

The Client Record Pay/Bill permission works in conjunction with the existing Organisation > Client Record permission, which enables agency staff to access Client records. For example, a staff member must have the Client Record permission to access Client records while the new Client Record Pay/Bill permission then determines if the staff member can access the pay/bill information on client records.

Benefits

This enhancement prevents unauthorised agency staff from viewing or editing information on a Client record that could affect paying and billing a client's job orders while still allowing the same staff to view and edit other information on a Client record, if required.

Configuration

On upgrading to this release, the Client Record Pay/Bill permission is automatically applied to all agency user security roles that have the add, edit, view or full permission level enabled for the existing Organisation > Client Record permission in Agency Portal > Maintenance > Security.

The table below explains how the permission level for the Client Record Pay/Bill permission is defaulted for an agency user role depending on the permission level that is set for the existing Client Record permission for that user role.

If, for certain agency user roles, the permission level for the new Client Record Pay/Bill permission needs to be different than the permission level for the existing Client Record permission, edit the permissions for the relevant security role in Agency Portal > Maintenance > Security for the Client Record Pay/Bill permission accordingly.
