There may be a need to identify how a Candidate record was created, ie duplicate records exist for a Candidate.

An enhancement was made in the 11.37 release and a Creation Source is now recorded for Candidate records created after upgrading to 11.37. This allows for users to search Candidate records based on how it was created.

For further information refer to Search Candidate - Search by Creation Source

If the record was created prior to upgrading to 11.37, refer to

Below are details on how to find the Creation Source.

Instructions

The Creation Source identifies if a record was created in one of the following ways:

  • Agency User - record has been created by a user

  • Job Board Application – a Candidate completed an application for a job advertised via Broadbean

  • Registration – a Candidate completed a Registration form

  • Outlook Extensions – an Agency user has used the Add Candidate option in Outlook Extensions

A Candidate search can be done for either:

  • a specific Creation Source - only those records with that source are returned

  • Any source, the Creation Source can then be seen in the search results - the Creation Source column needs to be added to the layout. - for details on how to modify the layout refer to KA to be done

If the record is a duplicate and the Creation Source is Job Board Application, Registration or Outlook Extensions refer to Determine why a duplicate was created
