The ATO stipulate a maximum response time of 72 hours. However, in most cases a response should be received within a few hours at most and may even be received within minutes of submitting. |
How to Check the STP Submission Status of a Pay Batch | |

1 | Go Navigate to Agency Portal > Payroll Australia > ATO Electronic Report > STP Pay Batch Submission. The Single Touch Payroll STP Pay Batch Submission screen opens. |
2 | In the Batch No. field in the search header Search section at the top of the screen, key in the pay batch number if you know it. |
3 | In the Submission Status field in the search header Search section at the top of the screen, tick all options except the Not Submitted option. |
4 | Key in or select any other information in the search header Search section at the top of the screen about the pay batch to narrow down the number of results that will be returned if necessary. For more information about the search criteria available on the screen, see STP Pay Batch Submission Screen. |
5 | Click Search STP Submissions . Pay batches meeting the search criteria you have specified are listed in the search results list at the bottom of the screen. |
6 | In the search results list, find the relevant pay batch and check the status that is displayed for that pay batch in the Submission Status column. |
