System-defined components have default names that are displayed to differentiate each component that is displayed on the layout page within the Document Format screen. You can change these names to suit your preferences.
To rename layout components, follow the procedure below.

How to Rename Layout Components

If you do not have a document format open already, open a document format in the Document Format screen.

On the document layout within the Document Format screen, click on the component.
The component on which you clicked displays a coloured border to indicate it is selected.

The Component Settings are displayed.
Go to Maintenance > Document Designer Section > Document Formats. The Document Format screen opens. | ||
2. | Apply the Search criterion required to find the document format you wish to edit, and click Search. Search results display. | |
3. | Click the view action next to the document format you wish to edit. The Edit Document Format screen displays. | |
4. | Click on the component you want to change. The component turns blue to indicate that it is selected. |

5. | In the Properties panel on the right, click Rows/Columns. The Rows/Columns applied to the component are displayed as a lists. | |
6. | Click the view action next to the item you wish to change. The Field Properties pop up displays. | |

When you are ready to save your changes, click Save. The document format layout is saved and a confirmation message opens. |
