Any timesheet list, such as those displayed in the Available Timesheets, Incomplete Timesheets or Submitted Timesheets screens can be exported to a file.

This is useful if you want to keep track of timesheets outside of the Time and Attendance system and it also provides a means by which you can reconcile timesheets during the approval process. For example, if you approve submitted timesheets at the end of each week you may export a list of the timesheets for a given week ending date to a spreadsheet and therefore use the spreadsheet to check off each timesheet as it is submitted and approved.

Timesheet lists can be exported as Microsoft Excel files (.XLS). To export

Export a timesheet list to a file

Open a screen that lists timesheets.

Export near the top right-hand corner of the screen.

A Save As dialog box opens.

In the File name field, type the name of the file to which the timesheet list is to be exported.

In the Save as type field, choose the relevant file format in which you want to export the timesheet list if not selected already.

5.

Navigate to the location where the file is to be saved and click Save.

The Save As dialog box closes and the timesheet list is exported to the specified file in the specified location.

An example of what you will see when you open the file that is created as a result of exporting a timesheet list is shown below. In this example, the timesheet list has been exported to a Microsoft Excel file and therefore appears in an Excel spreadsheet. Image Removed
