Description

In this release for all countries we have introduced a Bulk Update feature for Job Orders. Currently where several jobs require a change, for example, a Client that has a family of several jobs for a role and the End Date needs to be changed for all of the family jobs, users need to open each job to change the End Date. The Bulk Update process will provide you with the ability to select all jobs requiring update, select the element(s) that need to be changed and queue a process to run the update.

With this feature the following items in a Job Order can be bulk updated:

  • Start Date

  • End Date

  • Status & Status Reason

  • Job Owner

  • Job Creator

  • Filled By

  • Position Skill Group & Position

  • Client Position

Where the user has been granted Security Permission for this feature, the following steps are followed to bulk update job orders:

Step 1 - select the jobs to be updated

In the Client / Contact / Cost Centre and Search Job Job Lists, a new Action is available for Bulk Actions. This action is editable where one or more items are selected from the list.

Where Bulk Actions is selected, the Bulk Action workflow opens in a new separate browser tab.

Step 2 - Select Update Values

From the list items, select the values that need to be updated on the Jobs.

To move to the Confirmation screen, click Next.

Step 3 - Confirmation

The Confirmation step allows you to review what has been selected for update before proceeding to the update process.

If you are happy with the selected items, click Update to commence the update process. You can use the ‘Action’ menu to remove any items that were accidentally added.

Step 4 - progress / completion

The Progress / Completion screen provides real time feedback on the progress of the update. The system will handle a record then move to the next. If there is an issue, for example one Job’s Candidate does not have availability for the requested new End Date, the ‘Progress’ value displays 'Error’ and a Validation Message will display. The system will then move on to the next record.

Where the record has been successfully updated the ‘Progress’ value displays ‘Updated’.

Benefits

Saves time where more than one job order requires the same update(s).
