Note:
Before attempting to create a hierarchy group, ensure that hierarchy groups are enabled in Country Settings for the country to
!worddav6a36149c60fbe8f119f3d0a0d653213d.png|height=16,width=16!which the new hierarchy group is to belong.

To create a hierarchy group, follow the procedure below.

How to Create a Hierarchy Group

1.

Go to Agency Portal > Rates and Rules > Maintenance > Hierarchy Group.
The Hierarchy Group Maintenance screen opens.

2.

Click .
The Hierarchy Group Maintenance New Entry screen opens.

3.

In the Name field, key in a name for the new hierarchy group.

Note:
Note that the name must be unique for the country to which this hierarchy group will be assigned.

4.

In the Country field, change the country that is selected if the new hierarchy group is to apply to a country other than the default country. Otherwise, skip this step.

5.

In the Sort Order field, key in a number that identifies the order in which the new hierarchy group is to be listed in any dropdowns on records on which a hierarchy group can be selected.
For example, if you key in 1 the new hierarchy group will be the first option in the dropdown.

It is not mandatory to specify a sort order, in which case the new hierarchy group will be listed in alphabetical order after any other hierarchy groups that do have a sort order. If you do specify a sort order but it clashes with that of another hierarchy group, the hierarchy groups with clashing sort order values will be listed in alphabetical order.

6.

To make the new hierarchy group active and therefore available on records immediately, tick the Active field. Otherwise, skip this step if you do not want the new hierarchy group to be available immediately.

7.

Click .
The new hierarchy group is saved and the Hierarchy Group Maintenance New Entry screen closes.
