Job Order - Parity Rates Against Agreement Rates

Description

Where a temporary worker is being paid less than a comparable permanent payee, once they reach the status of parity, the temporary worker is entitled to receive the equivalent pay rate to that of the comparable role. This is known as the parity pay rate. You would also have the equivalent parity bill rate.

The following changes have been made to the rates section of the job order:

  • The rate grid cannot be sorted if AWR is active on the country hierarchy.

  • The rate grid cannot be filtered if AWR is active on the country hierarchy.

  • There is a separate row for the parity rate.

  • There is a Parity Type column to differentiate between pre-parity and parity rates.

  • The parity pay rate cannot be lower than the pre-parity rate.

  • The parity bill value can be any value.

  • If the job order Monitoring Not Required is checked on, the parity rate row will not be displayed.

  • If the Direct Valuation checkbox is checked on, the parity rate row will not be displayed.

  • In the Manage Layout option of the grid, it is not possible to hide the Parity Type column where AWR is active.

When AWR is active on the country hierarchy, the parity rate row will be displayed. Where a job order has a pay and bill agreement applied to it, the system will determine the parity rates based on the agreement rate rules.

The parity rate is applied to flat rate types in the agreement rule. Any other rates that are based on the parity flat rate, will have the parity rate determined. For example, Overtime @ 1.5 is determined by the Basic Hourly Rate multiplied by 1.5. In the above screenshot, the pay value for O/T @ 1.5 is 1.5 and the pay rate is the determined value based on Basic Hourly Pay * 1.5. For the parity value of the overtime rate, it will use the parity value of the Basic Hourly Pay.

If permissions have been given to edit the rates on the job order, the parity rates can be edited independently from the pre-parity rates and will affect the parity rates only. If the pre-parity rates are edited, these will not affect the parity rates.

Benefits

Allows for the application of parity rates.

Configuration

The AWR Active flag should be checked on, to be able to manage the parity rates.

The parity rates would need to be configured in the pay and bill agreements.
