Description

HMRC no longer require the BACS Hash to be generated in 2024/2025 submissions. The BACS Hash and the sub-reference in BACS Output files was generated when a BACS User Number is entered in the system in the Pay Company configuration.

FastTrack will no longer generate and therefore no longer output these references from period 1 of 2024/2025 tax year. The field will still be visible in the HMRC Message Portal UI as it can still be referenced in prior submissions.

The sub-reference will also not be generated or output in the BACS payment files. The position of the sub-reference was placed into optional text fields in the output files and so will not impact the file formats.
