How to Create a Document Format Group

To create a document format group, follow the procedure below.

1.

Navigate to Maintenance > Document Designer > Document Format Groups.

The Document Format Group page displays.

Click Add.
The Add Document Format Group page displays.

In the Country field, select the country the Document Format Group is to apply to.

In the Group Type field, change the selection to Pay if this document format group is to group documents that are to be issued along with payslips. Alternatively, leave the default option Bill selected if this document format group is to group documents that are to be issued when billing a debtor.

In the Name field, key in a descriptive for the document format group. This is the name that will appear in dropdown lists wherever a document format group can be selected.

In the Description field, key in a textual description of the document format group that helps identify the purpose of this document format group.

If the document format group is to be available to be assigned payees, pay company defaults or debtor invoice details as soon as it is created, tick the Active field. Otherwise, if you do not want to make the document format group available immediately, skip this step.

 

7.

In the remaining fields on the screen, select the relevant document format for each document type that can be included in the document format group based depending on the group type and the country to which the group applies. 8.

Click Save.

The new document format group is created and saved.
