Manage existing BPME Rules

An 'Active' BPME rule can be edited. The updated rule will apply to any new events that evoke the rule. Records that have evoked the old rule are not impacted by the changes.

Edit a BPME Rule

Open the BPME tool in the Maintenance module.

The BPME Maintenance screen is displayed.

Within the Hierarchy panel on the left hand side of the screen, navigate to the required rule and select. Alternatively use the Search function to find the rule.

The rule is displayed in the Rule List on the right hand panel.

Right mouse click on the Rule within the hierarchy and select Edit Rule.

The Edit Rule [pop up displays.

Make the changes to the rule any to any filter items as required.

Select Save Changes.

The changes are applied to the rule.

 

Add an additional Field Rule

Open the field rule by clicking on the rule to select, right click and select Edit Rule.

The Edit Rule popup displays.

If the rule record is open, select Add Field Validation.

A new Rule item is displays below the last rule item.

To create the rule, follow the steps described in To create a BPME Global rule from step 4 onward.

To create any filters required, follow the steps described in 'To add a filter to a BPME rule'.



Remove a Field Rule from a BPME rule

Open the rule record and navigate to the Field Rule item to be removed.

If the rule record is not open, follow the steps described in Edit a BPME rule above, to open the rule record.

Select the rubbish bin symbol next to the field rule.

The Field Rule is removed.

Select Save or Save Changes.

The changes are applied.
