An important change is occurring that will affect Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting in FastTrack360. The change will require actioning by your business to ensure that your STP reporting capabilities are not disrupted.

What’s changing?

FastTrack360 will have a new Product ID, which means that existing STP reporting authentication that has been configured by your business for each pay company that submits STP reports from FastTrack360 will cease to be valid.

Why is this changing?

Because FastTrack360 is now owned by Access Group, the ATO require STP reporting authentication to be aligned to the Access Group ABN and a new Product ID.

What needs to be actioned?

An authorised individual within your business will be required to create new authorisations in the ATO’s Access Manager portal to link the ABN of each pay company, which makes STP submissions from Fastrack360, to the Access Group’s ABN (40 071 007 326) and a new Product ID and Software Service ID (SSID) that we will provide you at a later date.

When does this need to be actioned?

We are working with the ATO to establish a transition period during which you will be able to create the new authorisations in the ATO’s Access Manager portal while the existing authorisations will continue to work so that you can continue to submit STP reports without interruption.

The transition period will likely be from February until the end of March 2025. We will provide you with the new Product ID and a new SSID for each of your pay companies so that you can create the new authorisations when the ATO have confirmed the transition period dates and have issued a new Product ID for FastTrack360.

What can you do to prepare?

To make sure your business is prepared for the transition, ensure that an individual within your business is configured as the principal authority or an authorisation administrator for your business in the ATO’s Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM). That individual will need to be able to log into the ATO’s Access Manager portal and configure a new authorisation …

To log into Access Manager, the authorised individual must have a myID.

To do this the authorised individual will need to provide the following information:

  • the ABN of each pay company that submits STP reports or your Registered Agent ABN, if you are an outsourced payroll service provider who will be reporting on behalf of your clients

  • Access Group’s ABN (40 071 007 326)

  • the new FastTrack360 product ID (INSERT PRODUCT ID HERE!)

  • the Software Service ID (SSID) of each pay company that is to commence STP reporting. The SSID of a pay company is displayed in the SSID field on the Payroll Australia > Maintenance > Pay Company > Pay Company screen, as highlighted in Figure 1 below.

For instructions on how to complete the authorisation via Access Manager refer to http://www.ato.gov.au/cloudsoftwareaanda

Telephone assistance with setting up authorisations is also available from the ATO by calling 1300 85 22 32.

When must this be actioned?

Your business must action this by INSERT DATE HERE! After this date, the existing reporting authentications that have been linked to the FastTrack ABN will no longer be valid.

If unactioned, your business will be unable to submit STP reports after this date.
