A SuperStream service provider is a payment clearing house or SuperStream electronic gateway provider that facilitates remitting and paying superannuation contributions to superannuation funds on behalf of employers. During the period where bridging solutions apply, it is possible to continue remitting superannuation contributions directly to funds, in which case a superannuation fund can also act as a service provider.
If your organisation needs to use the SuperStream functionality provided in FT360 to meet your superannuation remittance obligations under the SuperStream scheme, one or more SuperStream service provider must be created before you can process SuperStream contribution batches to remit superannuation contributions in a SuperStream compliant format.
SuperStream service providers are configured under Portal > Pay Australia > Maintenance > SuperStream Service Providers.
Note:
The SuperStream Service Providers maintenance area is available only if SuperStream functionality is enabled under Portal > Portal Maintenance > Country Settings > Australia > SuperStream.
SuperStream service providers that are configured can be linked to superannuation funds under Portal > Pay Australia > Maintenance > Superannuation > Funds.
Once a SuperStream service provider is created, the details of the service provider can be updated at anytime. An existing SuperStream service provider that is not required can be deleted so long as the service provider is not linked to a superannuation fund and the service provider has not been used when generating a SuperStream file.
