Previously, if you clicked the IRD Authentication button on the Payroll New Zealand> Maintenance > Pay Company > Pay Company Maintenance > Edit Pay Company > Pay Day Reporting screen, as highlighted in the example below, FastTrack360 automatically refreshed the existing login token so long as the login details, which were last used to log into the myIR portal, are still valid and the authentication status is OK.

...

Now , with each click of time the IRD Authentication button is clicked, as highlighted in the example above, the current login token is cleared rather then being refreshedthan being refreshed. In turn, that triggers FastTrack360 to make a call to the myIR portal, which prompts you to log in with a valid username and password. On successful login, FastTrack360 obtains a new login token that corresponds to the username and password that has been provided, as opposed to username and password that correspond to the previous token.

Benefits

This enhancement allows you to change the current username and password that is used to establish a connection to the IRD whenever necessary, even if the current username and password are still validenables FastTrack360 to interact with the IRD. For example, if the staff member whose myIR login details have been used to establish a connection to the IRD has left your business and you need to change the login details to that of another staff member, you can now do so by clicking the IRD Authentication buttonIRD login credentials that were previously used to interact with the IRD belong to an individual who no longer works for your business, this allows the login credentials to be updated to a set of credentials that are associated with your business.
