The following new options have been added to the Allowance Type field on the Rates and Rules > Maintenance > Pay Code > Edit Pay Code field for allowance pay codes that are assigned to the country of Australia:

Benefits
This enhancement supports compliance with requirements for reporting payment of allowances under Under Single Touch Payroll (STP) Phase 2 reporting , whereby there are new types/classifications of allowances that must be itemised for STP reporting purposesallowance payments for tools, tasks and qualifications/certificates must be itemised separately to other allowance types and therefore this enhancement allows you to configure allowance pay codes accordingly in preparation for STP Phase 2 reporting.

However, to avoid STP reporting errors it is important that allowance pay codes with a type of Tools, Tasks and Qualifications/Certificates are not used until STP Phase 2 compatible reporting is available in FastTrack360, which will be available in a future release. |
