Update 09/11/2022 The legislation to enact Paid Family and Domestic Violence Leave has passed both houses of parliament. In coming weeks, the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) will issue guidance on how employers are expected to administer this new leave type. Further updates will be posted here once the FWO guidance has been published. |
The Federal Government has introduced the Fair Work Amendment (Paid Family and Domestic Violence Leave) Bill 2022 bill to parliament. The bill proposes to introduce 10 days paid leave per year for employees who are experiencing domestic or family violence.
