Description
A feature has been added in the 11.37 release, to the Leave Payments pay batch stage to allow selected leave payments, which have been triggered and paid in the pay batch, to be cancelled with the click of a button.
In the Payee Pay Details > Leave Payments screen, which is displayed upon double-clicking on a payee who is listed on the Pay Wizard screen at the Leave Payments pay batch stage, you can select one or more of the leave payments that are listed on the screen by clicking the checkbox next to the relevant leave payment(s) and then click Delete to delete the selected payments. An example of this is shown below.
When a leave payment is cancelled at the Leave Payments pay batch stage, the following occurs:
pay items are automatically added to the payee's pay items in the pay batch to negate the leave payment
the corresponding leave request in the Leave Module is automatically updated as follows:
its status changes to Cancelled if the payment of the entire leave request (i.e. all days of the leave request) has been cancelled or the status remains set to Approved if some days of the leave request remain paid
its payment state changes to Cancelled in Pay Batch if the payment of the entire leave request was cancelled or the payment state changes to Partially Cancelled in Pay Batch if some days of the leave request remain paid.
Info |
---|
Leave payments that are cancelled at the Leave Payments pay batch stage will be automatically paid again if the pay batch is moved back to the Leave Payments stage after having been moved forwards or backwards to another pay batch stage. Therefore, unless the leave payments had been cancelled in error, it will be necessary to cancel the relevant leave payments again if the pay batch is moved to the Leave Payments stage again. |
Benefits
This enhancement prevents the need to manually cancel a leave request and to process manual pay items in a pay batch to negate automatic leave payments if a payee has received payment for leave in error.
Configuration
No configuration required.
